Shield bash for Warrior
Not going to happen.
Together with Skull Crack, those two would give you 4 seconds of stun. That’s more than enough to switch over to GS and Frenzy+HB a target to death.
Currently you could argue that Frenzy+HB is balanced because it’s easy to avoid, but add in an alternative way to force people to use a stunbreak, and it becomes an overpowered combo.
And we already have tons of complaints about Hundred Blades.

I’m actually in favor of Shield Bash granting the Warrior like, 2-3s of Protection (maybe even Retaliation for the same duration?).
IMO, a Warrior who takes Shield is intentionally off-setting their offensive potential for more defensive potential. Giving the Warrior something like 3s of Protection on a 25s cooldown (20s traited) would be exactly what the skill needs to enhance it’s usefulness in PvE. Furthermore, Protection is something that Warriors would benefit from immensely, regardless of how short the duration.

Not even nearly as bad as having stuns, considering that you can still attack while Immobilized and there are specific skills that remove movement impairments.

By using two skills with a stun, you basically lose some time when using the 2nd one. Then you lose a fraction more when changing to GS. I don’t think people would go through the trouble to “force” themself to use a 2nd weapon set (mace+shield) to set up their frenzy+HB, while giving up one utility skill for bull’s charge will give you the same result.
Right now, when i use shield bash, i can see the stun icon on the enemy flicker, 1 blink and it’s gone already.
Just use it as an interrupt. There are better combinations for interrupts though.. Ah well.

I do agree that the stun from shield bash is kind of pointless in PvE but the 1 sec plus a chance to interrupt can be a real killer in PvP, WvW. I would love to see increased to 2 sec but I don’t think it will happen.
