Like 10 to 15 tokens at the end, with no “first run of the day” bonus?
10-15 is low enough that greedier players stick to Exp (60/20 > 10, duh), but enough to make the kinder players smile.
Edit: In no way will I support rewarding more then 20 tokens per story-run. That would only attract impatient token-farmers who have little interest in actually guiding newbies.
Currently, I feel like on the game-side, there’s not much appreciation for players who go back to guide newbies through story mode.
I think such players deserve at least a little compensation for giving up time, that could be spent in Explorable Mode, to help out the less-experienced.
It would also be a nice gate-way reward to getting first-time runners to look forward to doing Explorable Mode for the higher token-reward.

Very much agreed…. though personally I feel that the token reward should be 30 for your character’s first time in story mode, and maybe a diminish after that… don’t want to encourage people to simply farm 1x Explore, then 1x story, but I frequently find myself looking at story runs for dungeons I’ve done and asking ‘do I want to spend the time to do that again?’
There’s always the feeling of accomplishment, and specific-item reward for first-time clears.
No reason to make it give more tokens the first time. That would just add a small chance of a “only the first time is worthwhile” mentality sparking in some players.
This would be nice as going through story mode can be very time consuming, and some tokens would be nice.
Cmon people, it’s in the Wintersday spirit, show your support for a good idea!

Seems like a lot of people don’t realize:
Explorable-Mode Dungeons normally give 20 tokens. They only give 60 for your first run of each day.

I know this but Story mode should give once per day something like 40 tokens. After that; nothing.

I already touched on that point in my original post. A high reward would just attract greedy people who only care about the tokens and run-time with no patience for newbies.
If you’re one of those people, I’m sorry but this idea is not meant for your benefit.
I also find storymodes often to be harder and more time consuming than explorables. Adding a repeatable reward of some kind (like tokens) that was worth it, would be a great incentive for people to run them as well.
make story mode dungeons give 60 tokens upon completion when there’s atleast 1 in the party who hasn’t done it, and fulfills the level requirement. Should the person who hasn’t done story mode leave or get kicked, everyone gets kicked out.

The ideas of the original post are great. I think a small amount of tokens each time someone does a story run would be great. They already added a couple other items to the drops their (kara and silver for the boss kills), this would just add a bit on top of that. Some of them are more difficult than others, and can be more time consuming than their explorable counterparts.
I don’t see a reason to dabble with dailies in story mode, just random facts people have to now know. Just give a little bit of tokens…
