Say you’re interested in an expensive weapon on the trading post, or maybe you want that cool new item in the gem store, but you don’t have any gems on you and you’re a bit broke when it comes to gold. As it is right now there is no way to see how much gold you would need in order to get that cool gem item, and no way of seeing how many gems you need to buy in order to get enough gold for your weapon. If you don’t already have enough gems you can’t see how much gold you would get out of it, and vice versa. If the gold/gem converter would allow theoretical gold and gems to be put in, it would let players see how much of one currency is needed to get the desired amount of the other currency. Any chance something like this might make it in game in the future?

They need options to buy a certain number, rather than spend a certain number. I don’t know why it’s opposite the actual trading post method. I can only assume it’s a marketing/psychological ploy by Anet to make a slight bit more money in the long run.

I want to be able to “buy 150 gems” and see how much gold it will cost. I want to be able to “sell x gems in the amount of 1 gold”.
