"Silent" Guardian Shouts

"Silent" Guardian Shouts

Ok, so this is sort of a minor suggestion.

So when a warrior uses a shout, everyone around him can hear the “shout”. For example, everyone can hear Warrior say: “For great justice!”. I think this applies for rangers too, not 100% sure. But when a Guardian uses his shouts, only the caster can hear them, not the people around him. Anyone know why is this so?

Now I always thought it was really cool that Guild Wars had these vocalisations associated with some important skills. It is particularly useful in PvP, for example, to “hear” Elementalist switching attunements based on what one-liner they use.

But it would be cool in PvE too. I play Guardian a lot, and I play a shout condi removal build, I always felt bad that my party members can’t hear my shouts. For example, “Save yourselves” shout is awesome, and I always thought it would be really cool if my team members could hear my character say that, basically letting them know I just sacrificed myself to save their kitten. I don’t know, I think that would be pretty satisfying.

But while we are on the topic, I also think it would be cool if the game would somehow let everyone in the team know that someone did something cool. So if you land a huge crit, or you remove some condis from your teammates, or do a big heal on the group, or you do a nice interrupt, I think you would get a lot of satisfaction if the game would let your whole team know that it was you who did this cool thing, and not that other guy who is playing the same class. Of course, once in a while, because you don’t want your screen to be cluttered by all of these things.

So those were some of my thoughts, sorry about my English, it’s my second language.
