Flamethrower in itself is a fun weapon. Mediocre by performance however.

Certain builds focus on stacking massive might which seem to work well on top of potion-popping, but the Flamethrowers’ skills don’t coordinate that well together, well, specifically, Flame Blast doesn’t coordinate well.

Flamethrower requires you to be close to an enemy and pointing at them at all times to do damage – Flame Blast passes through enemies and then explodes once it reaches its max range. The damage on the blast is great, but actually hitting with it is a real challenge. You’ll either be opening with it or using it when your allies have agro, as such it’s only useful ONCE in a fight where you’re the only one around.

You cannot stand at the appropriate range of Flame Blast and still hit with your main Flamethrower attack, this doesn’t really seem too clever. If the enemy’s in your face already, it will just pass through them for a bit of damage and explode miles away.

A simple change to this skill will make it much more useful: Make it detonatable on a second click of the skill. This will allow it to be used point-blank, as the Flamethrower can not be used for kiting (since, as mentioned, you have to always point at the enemy), and will open up for much more utility. If an enemy is standing against a wall as well, your flame blast will hit the wall behind it and not explode if you are slightly too close.

EDIT: I should mention combos like using Air Blast first or after firing the Flame Blast don’t work as the timing doesn’t click.
