In WvW, players on your team are green dots so you can see where people are.

If this were the case in PVE maps, players could form informal groups easier and it might encourage partying up. At least you would know whether an area you were in was empty, and if you saw 5 players heading in a direction, you might follow figuring they were heading to an event, and you would know it was not going to be you against a champion and 3 veterans.

It is already implemented in the WvW maps – couldn’t it be turned on for the other maps?

would be nice. The reason we see each other is because we are on a “team” essentially would have to make everyone in a server on a team then.

It would be nice if hitting “Alt” illuminated the zone map like it does for NPC names. Good idea OP!

As long as it were something that were not on by default, or very easy to figure how to turn off, this could be good. (And not identifying the player by mousing over a dot, so they don’t get bothered.)

Mm doesn’t need to say who the player is but it would be great if it could have an on/off option to show location of all players in the zone, not just those near you like in wvw
