Skill Bar suggestion!
Ive been missing some of the old things that made gw1 great and i was wondering if there was any talk about letting players do a little more customization to their skill bars. For those of you that played gw1, remember how we had complete control of all 8 skills on our bars?
Why not let us move our skills around on our bars instead of having us have to change the hot key bindings for them?
The other thing i miss about gw1 that should have been brought over is the non mandatory healing and elite skill.
While the healing skills are very nice on some classes, on others arent. Why not let us slot another utility skill in our healing slot and/elite slot?
Just my thoughts, but i think that would bring more diversity to everyone instead of everyone running the same thing.
because without a healing skill, you’ll need healers, which brings in the trinity model that the Arena Net designers want out.
The whole point of the skill bars as is is to let the players be able to be self sufficient, to not rely on other players to enjoy content and for you to have more variety of play styles within the same class by letting you be self sufficient.
I disagree. There are plenty of passive healing and triggered trait healing that can keep one alive without needing a trinity healer archetype.

and all of them are made to be less effective than the straight up heal given by the healing skill. All of them combined i might add. you’d have nowhere near the survival of someone who didnt have a single healing trait with them but who used a healing skill.
I completely agree with the moving the primary 5 skills around. Say have it unlockd and just drag them. Don’t allow other skills to be placed their but just move those around that are allocated with that weapon. Say the 2 handed weapons move all 5 around and single handed weapons just move within those 3 or 2 slots each.
However I disagree with the whole letting the healing abilities or the elite abilities be replaced. A lot of gw2 focuses around self healing and that would create an imbalance and bring it back more focused to the “trinity” designs.
