Skill-Points End-Game
Or even something that’s unique for different classes? Like a ranger can use it to unlock more possible pets around the game world and warrior can use it to learn more weapons? haha
Stupid idea, you don’t even understand how many weapons you can craft through mystic forge with SP. All the weapons on Wiki have been discovered by players and there’s more to discover ahead. Skill point means that you have the SKILL to play the game and it also means that only skilled players dare to obtain exclusive looks through mystic forge.
Giving it another use like dungeon ticket would be stupid because to ones that have done world completion would be harder to get in maybe after first 2 tries like me, I have done world completion and dont have enough SP to get in that sort of dungeon. It would be problematic.
50 sounds a bit to much to enter a dungeon, but 1 or 2 could work I guess.
50 sounds reasonable for a specialist dungeon when you remember a bloodstone shard is 200 and 50 is not hard to get, you just continue to level up. I would make the unlock account bound though rather than character specific. As I said skill points come in fast and even if you did craft all of the weapons in the forge you still have tons left over, especially by the time you farmed all the other mats needed. Both skill points and karma need to have more uses in this game.

Just to add, SKILL points are used to gain skills initially…. it has nothing to do with your elitism so hush. Skill points are not hard to get, you just have to put in time to your characters, I have no idea why you think world completion affects you levelling for a skill point. If you want to farm them again fast well then yes you will need to do map completion on another character. Stop being so lazy…. and also, there is no “skill” in communing -____-
It would be problematic…. for you…. stop being lazy and play.

I personally liked it in GW1 where you kept attaining new skills as you ventured into new areas (that you bought from vendors with SP). I feel that might not work with their current system, but if they can make it work that gets my #1 vote.
I disagree that it is a stupid idea. There are players, such as myself, who has no interest in playing with the Mystic Forge and has collected quite a bit of skill points among my characters. I’d like to be able to spend it on something, it certainly would be cool to spend it on access to things. Maybe a new jumping puzzle that costs 5 SP (similar to tier 3 skill), a new locked/open world event that costs 10 SP, and a new dungeon that costs 30 SP (similar to an elite skill)?
I was just reading the henchmen suggestion thread, and thought we could merge the ideas.
How about using skill points to purchase a temporary henchmen?

Because I will hire 4 henchmen and never party with the idiots in the community ever again…. ever.

sorry I was not clear, I meant you can hire one temporary henchman
I’ll take 2 guildies then and they can take a single temp henchman each, zero idiots. It’s a win-win.

That’s actually a much better idea than character specific, I agree. I also haven’t read the hence men idea but I like it.
