This solution is intended to fix some of the problems with 1c over vendor items.

This would be for armor, weapons, trinkets and upgrades for armor and weapons. This may work for other items as well but the majority of the problem seems to reside with these items.

1. Allow players to post these items for no less than double the vendor price.
a. Vendor prices are relatively low for the majority of items.
b. This would prevent any new 1c over vendor items from being posted.
c. This would allow the current 1c over vendor items to be either reduced through attrition or bought out by players and re-listed at the newer prices.

2. This would prevent botters from using the BLTP as a convenient vendor.

Definition: by vendor price I am referring to the sale price you would receive if you sold that particular item to a vendor.

The market should actually correct itself, provided ANet deals with the botting plague. Without those automated farms to feed the BLTP, there won’t be nearly the same amounts of cheap goods flooding it.

The initial launch rush is now over and the population is going to start settling into something closer to it’s long-term form. That means a lot fewer low and intermediary level mats and goods being put up for sale because there will be a lot fewer players feeding them to the TP. Prices should begin to normalize when that happens.

But nothing will be fixed while the botters are still permitted to run free and control the TP. As much as it’s screwed up now, I still think that the artificial market skewing that the botters have introduced, needs to be addressed before any widespread changes to the TP are implemented. Basically, get the foundation of the house solid before starting to pick out colors for the drapes. Right now, that foundation is rotten and crumbling.

No, it wouldn’t. They would list it for the least they could even if it was double vendor.
