The majority of the player population love the account wallet but a lot are also uncomfortable of carrying huge amounts of gold in one place. Server lags can cause people to click more than once thinking nothing is buying then later on finding out they purchased more than they had hoped to purchase. Sometimes people sending mail accidentally put wrong numbers or numbers in the wrong spot when sending gold. There are instances where devious players prey on careless individuals by pricing items way higher than their normal price range (it happens to fractal rares, where first 1-2 items in the listing are normal and the third item and beyond are priced 10x the normal—-preying on people who buy a lot of the same item to forge precursors).

Accidents happen.

So I am suggesting that maybe they can place some sort of a threshold that prompts the system to notify you, and ask for confirmation whenever you purchase something that requires a certain amount of gold. Example: threshold of 50g. Any action that you make that require more than that amount and you get a notification/confirmation before going through.

People should be more careful and always confirm things before hitting any buttons. I know lag can happen, but really caution is a better solution to 98% of these issues.

I don’t think it’s the safety issue that’s the problem. Being able to store gold someplace separately is convenient and organised. I don’t do it because I’m afraid of accidentally spending it; I do it because it’s easier to manage separate funds for separate goals.

If depositing gold in the bank is to be removed, it’d be nice to see a new saving fund feature where you can create so many separate savings funds at the bank, give them a custom title, and deposit gold toward a goal.

You can make your own guild bank, buy influence from the Guild Promotor and get storage. Then you can put the money in there.
