Just some ideas that I think would help improve Engineer traits and make some things more appealing.

Explosives:

Accelerant-Packed Turrets – Move to Adept Tier and combine with Deployable Turrets.
Exploit Weakness – Remove or combine it into another trait, maybe Empowering Adrenaline or Precise Sights or Target the Weak.
Reserve Mines – Change to trigger when below 50% health instead of 25%.
Autodefense Bomb Dispenser – Move to Master Tier.
New Grandmaster Trait – Mad Bomber(?) – Bombs are unblockable and have a 50% increased critical chance against immobilized or crippled foes. 10% of your power is converted to condition damage.

Inventions:

Autotool Installation – Combine with Metal Plating.
Rifled Turret Barrels – Move to Master Tier.
New Grandmaster Trait – Using a utility turret overcharge skill removes 1 condition from you and nearby allies and heals you and nearby allies. Utility turret overcharge skills recharge 20% faster. (This trait works with all turrets except healing turret.)

Tools:

Deployable Turrets – Moved and combined with Accelerant-Packed Turrets as stated above.
Kit Refinement – Remove global recharge.
Leg Mods – Move to Adept Tier.
Adrenal Implant – Move to Master Tier.
New Grandmaster Trait – Gadgets now provide a passive bonus, passive bonus is lost while the skill is recharging. Gadgets give 3 seconds of Stability when activated. This effect can only occur once every 45 seconds. (Rocket Boots could either grant the stability after you land or maybe make it so that you still fly forward with the stability?)

Passive bonuses:
Rocket Boots – Cripple, Chill and Immobilize duration reduced by 33%.
Slick Shoes – Every 20(?) seconds create an oil slick at your location.
Personal Battering Ram – When critically hit by a melee attack, 50% chance to launch the foe. This effect can only occur once every 10(?) seconds.
Utility Goggles – Blind is 50% effective. (50% chance for blind to have no effect, the blind is still removed even if the next attack hits)
Throw Mine – Drop a mine at your location when struck from behind or from the side. This effect can only occur once every 5(?) seconds.
