Q:

When I first began to play gw2 a year ago, I made myself three characters. A Ranger, Mesmer, and Guardian. When the Mad King events occurred, I completed the clock tower with all three of them, earning the Mad King footwear. As none of them were of a level to be able to use it yet, I stuck them in my bank and forgot about them. I didn’t pay attention to the fact they were soulbound.

Fast forward several months. I’d leveled my Ranger and Mesmer to 80. I’d started an Engineer and a Necromancer and liked them well enough. But I really wanted to try an Elementalist. And I wasn’t terribly fond of the Guardian. At the time, I wasn’t able to buy a new character slot. My options were to put off trying the Elementalist or delete the Guardian. Since it was only level 5, I decided to delete the Guardian- recycling and/or selling everything that was possible to recycle or sell that was on her before doing so. Unfortunately I forgot about the soulbound boots sitting in the bank.

I have had those stupid things sitting in my bank taking up space for a year now and can’t do anything with them. I hate to just destroy them. Since I recently WAS able to get new character slots and decided to give a Guardian another chance, I’d love if I could just transfer “ownership” to the new guardian. It doesn’t appear that is a possibility though and I can’t find anything regarding soulbound items that doesn’t require you to still have the character they are soulbound to.

Is there something I’ve missed that might allow me to transfer ownership from a now non-existent character to a different character? Or am I just going to have to accept the fact I made a really irritating newbie blunder and destroy the item. Having it sit useless and taking up bank space is annoying.

Oh for crying out loud. I thought I’d clicked on Players Helping Players. Is it possible for a mod to move this to the correct location? Please, thanks, and sorry for the bother.
