Think of the elemental swapping ability of Elementalist, but instead of changing your elemental affinity only, it changes the skills and appearance of your weapon. Wouldn’t you want to have a Greatsword that with your F abilites(Fire/Water/Air/Earth)to change your nice, pretty, shiny 2her into a sword of pure lightning capable of encasing your foes in a prison made of electricity!

It would be too alike to the elementalist for it to be a new class/profession.

So what you’re saying is: You like the Elementalist’s profession-specific attack, but you wanna play a Mesmer.
