Stats should directly affect weapon skills/character (in a minor way).

Simple suggestion, and I think not a bad one.
If I have high precision, my ranged weapon attacks should have slightly larger range.
If I have high power, my melee weapon attacks should have a small damage bonus.
If I have high toughness, I should have a slight innate increase to my chance to block.
If I have high vitality, I should have a bonus to regeneration.
I just pulled these out of the air, but it seems to me that it would make things a little less cookie-cutter in terms of choosing your gear if the attributes had some secondary effects. I’m aware that the base attributes already have a primary effect, and thats fine, but I’d like to see a little extra (without doing anything crazy or unbalancing).
Just a thought.

Well for the power suggestion, you already get a bonus in damage. Power + Weapon damage = Attack.
For the toughness suggestion, there is no block chance in this game and I don’t think they implement one.
For the vitality suggestion, healing power already increases you regeneration, and if if vitality would do the same, healing power would become more obsolete than it already is. In addition giving bonuses to players who have a high stack of a certain attribute would make diminishing return useless.

They already do:
- Power increases direct damage.
- Precision increases critical chance.
- Toughness increases armor.
- Vitality increases maximum health.

As he said “if the attributes had some secondary effects” those you listed are the Primary effects. ^^

If you have high toughness, your characther’s shoulder pads get much bigger.
If you have high vitality, your characther starts to glow with health.
If you have high condition damage, you gain bloody fangs.
If you have high precision, your characther spends less time aiming in attacks and makes up for it by fist pumping.
If you have high power, your characther yells out “I AM A MAN/WOMAN!” before attacking.
