I have to say I’m a little surprised about this one.

Yup, and now there’s this huge monetary gap between players who dislike dungeon farming and those that don’t. Seriously, people are walking with thousands of gold because Anet for some reason hasn’t done anything about this ridiculous dungeon.

How’s that?

Is there a farming method where you get a lot of gold off CoF?

Not to suggest they did something, but they wouldn’t necessarily announce that sort of thing in patch notes…

You can speed run CoF P1 with the right group makeup in a little over 6 minutes. You face heavy diminishing returns, but with MF buffs you can manage 7-8 gold in an hour.

Honestly…you can almost manage the same gold by doing a daily Orr/Karkaland Orichalcum run across four characters.

I think it’s good the game has SOME way to allow gold to flow into the market. The gold is so scarce in this game it almost forces you to spend real $ on it in order to get any measurable amount. Farming out the insane amounts of gold required for legendary building would be nearly impossible if it weren’t for things like this.

7-8 gold an hour from Orr??? Never have I seen these amounts.

Yes, the reward system in the game has been broken since launch. Dungeon grinders have inflated the economy well beyond anything a PvE or WvW player could keep up with.

i almost never do cof because i don’t like skipping mobs, so i get money with pure force of luck and magic find doing penitent/shelter event
