Still no click to move.
because this isn’t an isometric arpg?
I’ve never seen this style of game with click to move… and it would be a pain more than anything (I couldn’t see doing jumping puzzles with click to move)
Why? because it simply wont work, in terms of control for this game, it is closer to a FPS, than a typical MMORPG, and I like to see you move around in an FPS with click to move… yeah right…
Trying binding autorun to Q if you want to type while moving
Just like in WoW or GW1, having click to move enabled does not disable WASD movement.. have you guys really never played an MMO with CTM?
I would obviously use both
this game is no where close to an fps… for the simple fast that you cant even view anything in first person whatsoever. Secondly. a fantasy mmofps would be more like TERA and a futuristic mmofps would be more like Planetside 2.
Why would you want click to move in the first place? the only thing i would suggest adding is a Move To Enemy feature in the options when you click on an enemy and you have a melee weapon.

It’s more of a Third Person Shooter. If you are using a controller or mouse for movement.
Click to move will make gw2’s combat system 10 times harder, since you’re supposed to be constantly on the move while fighting, even for melee classes,
This also shows that you are kittening kitten for making such a suggestion.
Go play D3 or runescape
Click to move was one of the first things they said would not be added to GW2. There’s no reason for them to chnage this stance since it wouldn’t fit the game anyway
This is one of those things that, if it were as easy as implied in the original post, ANet would have put it in the game before launch.
Click-to-follow is great when you are in a group traveling across a map and want to stay close to the leader. Click-to-move is also great for when you want to merch — it’s easier to click on the NPC and press e.g. <spacebar>.
But while all that might be really convenient, it’s not at all required. But I suspect the real reason is that it’s just really hard to program, while keeping the game’s responsiveness and minimum specs.
Click to move and move to target aren’t something they want to implement because as a hybrid action RPG, especially one that wants to be an esport, they don’t want to encourage the type of play. It’s meant to be skill based, fast paced combat, something neither of those 2 features support.
As for actually implementing a simple click to move feature in-game, as in, you click and it moves in that direction in a simple straight line and fails if anything is in the way, would be something they could easily add if they chose to. The basics of it already exist with a combination of ground target and charge skills.
Why should click to move ever be in an MMO? What benefits does it have? It’s an absurd feature that shouldn’t have lived past UO.

did you read my WHOLE post? i said in terms of control, the viewpoint of the camera does not have anything to do with the control of your character
