Stop GS skins! Need skins for other weapons
As a Warrior I don’t really mind: no other weapon can really compare to the Greatsword for us.
I can do thirty Five-Dolyak Arm Curls.

Greatswords are sexy. People like sexy. It’s just kind of a shame that as sexy as a cool greatsword skin is, it’s still only usable by half the classes, and isn’t better than a secondary weapon set on any of them.
I think a lot of players are drawn into poor play by the sexy spinning Sunrise/Twilight animations.
As a mage I can’t image how Eles and Necr to use GS as main weapon. Not to mention Ranger, Thief and Engineer…..although Mesmer can use GS, but GS not main weapon for every Mesmer …..professions not use GS > use GS, but what I found in game is that GS really a lot.
Legendary is definitely a good example, 3 extreme good looking skin for GS, each of them will make people say “WOW!”, but how about other weapons? Can Anet give me 3 staffs to choose too? Dagger? Rifle? Longbow?
I think ANet should at least give 2 choose for each legendary weapons / shield before they continuous to make any GS.

on the designer side, GS are extremely easy and fast to design
first of all, all three legendary greatswords use the same skin
the only difference are the visual effects which are made once and than duplicated two times and changed in a few minutes, et voila, 3 GS

I could see them using it as a PBAoE in Fire, a lightning rod in Air the way Mesmer does, and some decent possibilities for Water. Not really sure about Earth though, that really feels like a hammer’s territory.
On the note of greatswords looking sexy I have to disagree.
When I see warriors in other games the weapons they tend to use gives me a distinct impression of what I think of them.
When I see a sword and shield warrior I see a protector or at the very least a smart warrior who realizes offense isn’t everything and thus has a balance of attack and defense.
When I see a duel wielding warrior I think of someone who is quite skilled to be able to wield two weapons but can also likely block as well as they can attack with those same weapons.
When I see a warrior with a two handed weapon the worst impression I ever get of warriors come right to the surface. A dumb lumbering brute who believes combat is about nothing more than shear brute force and having the biggest heaviest weapon to swing at your enemies is the best possible choice you could make. I hate having this impression as seeing most warriors played like this is the biggest turn off I could have for playing one myself.
On the note of the topic though it does seem fair if they focused on making as many different options that look good for other weapons in the game as well as they do for greatswords.

Oh, I can it in earth. Thrust a big puppy sword into the ground to split it? Lift rocks with the sword and spread them around? Channel earth through the sword to block attacks? Yeah, I can totally work with that xD

but i enjoy playing great sword 2… actually i think a bigger problem is there are ALOT of bad skins that nobody bothers with regardless of weapon

Seriously, we need hammer skins that scream “this thing weighs as much as a grown man and will crush your body to a fine powder with a single hit.” Most hammers right now are these small things that int he hands of a norn or charr, you would swear they would break! The hammer heads on most hammer skins currently in game need to be made about 150% larger, with some of them 200-250% larger.

Eternity, which is made by combining Sunrise and Twilight.
As for the OP, while I think it’s a bit silly to say “Stop making GS skins!”—I’d like to see new skins for everyone—I agree that there are currently a lot of weapons that could use some love. For example, maces and torches haven’t had any holiday skins yet, for example, not even in the cash shop. I understand if there are slightly more options for popular weapons, but it seems silly to neglect some entirely. With the current lack of flashy mace skins, I’m sure a ton of mace users would have bought a wintery one, myself included.
