Story Driven Legendary Weapons

Totally agree with this.
Not only would the lore give Legendaries a place in the world, but they’d also be able to use said lore to direct the process of the Legendary. Maybe changing one or two quests / steps that are unique to that Legendary.
For example, you need to have a stack of Claw’s debuff in order to create Frostfused Orichalcum needed for Frostfang (or it’s precursor), while Twilight would require you to be in the Spectral Realm during the Grenth event to create Duskfused Orichalcum for Twilight (or the precursor). Dying would cause the Orichalcum to lose its essence.
If you also had more challenging steps to acquiring certain parts of it, you could reduce the grind.

I agree. It is one of the reasons I’m going for The Flameseeker Prophecies (it does have a bit of a backstory related to the original Guild Wars).
OT: I somehow feel the need to say that the pact token (you get after completing the main storyline) should be a required crafting material for a legendary weapon. I’m 900h in the game and I still haven’t completed the main storyline arch. :/

Doing various events or things for a legendary? If this would be implemented I’d definitely go through the kitten to get one.
Currently I can only dream of a legendary as crafting one is pain…

It would still be a grind and would still take ages but certain aspects could be as above mentioned linked to events to make certain parts or something, they just feel like empty skins and not really worthy of having the status of “legendary”
Especially seeing as seeing as how you pretty much dont need to do anything to get them other then grind items or buy them. It would be nice if you had to complete certain challenges and Legendary specific story driven quests.

People do fractals of the mists for 30 runs and call it farming but it’s not that bad. Each run is different and has a different experience. This is what I’m waiting for. I don’t wanna do the same thing over and over to get what I want. I wanna do various things to get what I want. To have some change in the cycle.
