Stow my ranger pet...
+1 yes! This annoys the kitten out of me! People’s asked for it in the past, so if we want it, that mans anet will completely ignore us and give us ore bugged content.
This has been brought up a number of times and I agree fully with perma-stowing pets.
At least the necromancer has the choice to not have minions, the elementalist has the choice to not have the elementals, why are we cursed with a pet that we’re stuck with that is basically useless in most scenarios and just gets in the way limping around?
Can’t tell you how many times I’ve posted this request here and all over. I know many hundreds agree with us… I’m to the point now (after 1000 or so hours on my Ranger) I have retired my Ranger in favor of a Guardian where the class mechanic isn’t a liability and it works 100% as intended. Once the ability to stow the pet during combat is there and 100% of the damage potential is given back to the Ranger it will remain on the shelf… except for dailies and throwing ish into the forge… Cause I pulled six pres from the forge on that toon and can’t seem to do it on any other.
I hate the pets for Ranger. They are poorly done and suck.
I would like to be able to stow my pet and if it is on passive, have it NOT pop out when I get into combat. Stowing it means I want it stowed
until I click to un-stow it.
This +over 9000
Although the ranger class has been broken since launch and they haven’t done anything to fix so I doubt this will happen.
Also make the Stow keybindable.
Just shocking that this isn`t already..

Rocking Wizard Wars until this mess of a game is fixed…
Pet’s are Ranger’s trademark. Most surely this suggestion will be ignored. Besides, some pets are really useful.

I’m pretty sure the suggestion has absolutely nothing to do with removing the pets at all. What it does have to do with is being able to actually stow the pet away until we call for it. It should not automatically come out.
It is really annoying to have the pet keep coming out when doing a jumping puzzle for instance. It shouldn’t come out when taking a small amount of fall damage or when trying to retreat from an enemy and having to jump over things to do so, etc. The pet just gets in the way and becomes an obstacle itself or slows you down.

I agree. Stowing a pet should do just that, stow it until you decide to use it again. It shouldn’t pop up if you take 1pt of fall damage and it shouldn’t pop up every time a mob looks at you funny. Stowing a pet should be the players choice to say, “Hey pal go take a break for a while and I’ll call you when I need you.” There are some cases where pets are a liability because the AI is terrible or in cases like jumping puzzles where you don’t need them in your face every time you drop down.
I would probably play my ranger again if I could do it without a pet. Got sick of them within 3 or 4 months of the game and she has been sitting there since
Yes please! This is quite an annoyance specially in fractals Maw level; sometimes maw keeps targeting pets/illusions and takes ages to kill. Atleast with Illusions the mesmers have the option to not use them.

This would be so so so so, nice.
There are times when your pets just get in the way. As such another button for permanent stow would be GREAT.
Many times your pet can actually become a burden as it sets off traps, that later hurt you. Agro things that you weren’t attacking, or just slowing you down as you run away from a zerg. Sometimes pets are great, sometimes you wish they would die in a fire.

IMO there doesn’t need to be another button. The stow button should do what it says, stow the pet until the player calls it back. Right now the only real use for the stow button is to stow your pet in cities as a courtesy to other players by reducing screen clutter.
