Although we have around 40 ranger pets already, I would love to see a lot more variety in species.
1. Top of my list…a turtle.
Would be a great pet with high toughness, possible a better tank than bears. Just look back at GW1, their siege turtles. And they didn’t move slow so that’s not an issue. They should be amphibious
2. Crab/shellfish of some type. Also amphibious
3. How about pets that are already available in game, but not to players. Look at the ogres, they can tame raptors, and griffons…
4. Perhaps more aquatic variety too. All we have at the moment is a shark, an armor fish, and a few jellyfish.
I’d also like to suggest/emphasize on the acquisition of pets. It is too boring/easy to ‘tame’ a pet currently. At least on guild wars 1 you had the pet fight back while it was being charmed. Wild animals don’t just sit there while you master them, or attempt to.
Maybe add some fancier pets with an achievement line to go through steps to acquire them. Like the black moa bird or even the phoenix from GW1.
