I just finished Arah Explorable and 3 party members were kicked when the boss was at about 2% health so that we couldnt get our reward. I have already submitted a report to “support”. My frustration right now isnt even with the 2 guys that did the kicking. Its the fact that there is NO clear cut method of reporting these people for doing these things. Anet…I’m looking at you…its not hard…its a drop down menu…add “griefing”….shouldnt be that hard.

What possible reason would they have to kick you three? And how did two people kick three of you out?

You only need 2 people to say yes to kick someone. So they start a kick vote on the people they want out and just say yes. And what reason? So that you don’t get loot? Or they can intentionally wipe and sell the spot to someone else who just wants the marks? There are plenty of reasons why.

I think you should change the title to make it more clear what you’re suggesting before clicking it, for example change it to Suggestion: Add Report Griefing, but not a biggie I suppose.

Anyway, I think the system for vote kick works and have never personally came across any group that kicks members at the end as it really doesn’t make them come off any better (If they intend to wipe and get others in to kill the boss, they’d do that before the fight and not 2% in). Sounds like it was just 2 people being idoits maybe for “abit of fun”

However, I do think Anet could add a feature where you can not kick while in combat or after the final boss of the dungoen has been defeated. That would stop people kicking people at low % of hp simply for the reason that they can’t loot their rewards. I think that would fix any issues like yours and can’t see it being too hard to design and put into the game.

Kick vote should be four of the five players to remove someone.

If two or more players are so obnoxious that they would need to be kicked, that should be obvious on the first round of heavy trash or the first boss. When it is that obvious, just reform the group without them and start again.

4 out of 5 votes wouldn’t work, how many times have you joined a group where 2 or more players are friends and when you try and kick one of them for whatever reason they get their friends to click decline so that it’s impossible to ever get them kicked unless you reform your party completly. For example, the two people that kicked the others from the group obviously was in it together, now imagine if one of those was abusing the others, but whenever you try to votekick him he’ll get his friend to decline. You wont want to reform the party though as it would require you restarting the dungeon completely.

I know he kicked 3 of us because I talked to the other members of the party. It was 1 thief, 1 necro, 3 guardians. The 3 guardians (myself included) were the ones kicked, since we were the pugs.

The thing that frustrates me is how Anet doesnt seem to care. This is not the first post Ive read on these forums about these issues. This is a problem that has been around for a long time and yet they have done nothing about it, nor have they stated that they intend to do anything about it. This type of situation simply promotes further trolling/evil doing by people like them. There are no consequences for their actions, so why not?

Edit: also they renamed my title and shoved my thread into a less looked at area on the forums thus promoting the sweep it under the rug tactics they are so fond of. heads over to reddit where the anet police cant find him

Yeah they definitely need to come up with some protection against being so easily kicked at the end of dungeons for no reason at all other then “because they can”. They knew this sort of thing was going to happen the second they dungeons to get the rewards at the end of the dungeon.

lets add hacking to the list to. can’t report those hackers because its not there

I support this. I wanted to report a guy who was pulling the champion karka on the people who were mining ori. I didn’t end up report him but sat there watching as he would run away, wait till somebody came to mine it, then pull it on them.

I played nice guy for 15/20 minutes and helped stealth with my thief, but I didn’t have all day to do that.

To get back on the main topic.

Yes there is a need for a better in game reporting system that is more specific to the problem.

Yes this is a form of griefing.

They need some in game GMs as well

I have recently been a victim of a 2 player vote kick in fractal for not using “binding blades on a tentacle” when ordered to. I was kicked in fractal 20 by player named Landscaper and his buddy. I am furious that they instantly kicked me for not following their orders to do a glitch in the game. this makes me sick how only 2 players out of a 5 player party can kick a person so easily. In every other game I’ve played, you need at least 60%+ of the votes to kick in a party. This has got to be fixed asap as this has given me a bad taste on the community of gw2. I’m sure I was not the only victim of this ridiculous kicking system and don’t laugh, you could easily be next.

I feel your pain. They definitely need to fix the kicking system ASAP or it will ruin the game. It seems devs don’t give a rats kitten and this game will turn into a troll fest SOON ENOUGH. The reporting system is USELESS and does absolutely nothing. Not even a warning sent to the player. I can report a player 50000000000000000X and he will not even get a slap on the wrist.

If you want anet to actually do something about it then you need to draw as much attention to the problem as possible. Facts are facts. The suggestion forum gets less traffic than the discussion forum. Also I don’t really like the title change. Now it makes the thread seem more like I’m supporting griefing. “Add: Griefing” lol…good job moderator…
