Stealth is not remotely balanced in WvW. Any changes to the stealth mechanic would adversely impact dungeon PVE and/or sPvP.

Therefore, I recommend Arenanet remove stealth from WvW. In WvW thieves should instead get a passive 2% passive damage reduction any time they would have otherwise entered stealth.

I don’t disagree that stealth in WvW has issues, but if it’s removed completely, there would need to be a heck of a buff given in exchange.

Because your taking away the class mechanic and giving them nothing in return. Don’t be ridiculous, this would never work.

Stealth is their defensive mechanic. We have the lowest life pool (category) and you think we should just get over it? Learn to dodge? 2% doesn’t make up for much. How about people suggest stealth fixes/solutions instead of just tossing ideas out the window because they can’t get over it. Love how no one points the finger at mesmer too…

If thief deserved anything, it would be better support skills/traits. Mesmer is just too dominant in wvw, try running a zerg without 1 or 10. Thief is too selfish atm, they need a good support role to fill other than abusing the culling issue thats at large (which is being fixed in march from what I’m hearing).

I can understand the OP’s frustration at facing thieves in W3 and PvP. A cool down on stealth would be a better idea. Maybe whilst the thief is in combat it takes longer to recharge and out of combat it recharges quicker. Removing their core mechanic is a silly idea.

tbh getting rid of stealth could only be replaced by steal actually stealing the target’s weapon. Only utilities until the thief decides to put it down, and then they have to go over and pick it up.

Make it 33% reduction like Protection don’t disable a thief’s ability to proc stealth traits and use stealth skills (Tactical Strike, Back Stab, Sneak Attack ect) every 3 seconds so long as this psuedo-stealth is active and we’ll talk.
