Guild Wars 2

Back in GW1 we could save our builds and whip them out for a particular situation… while GW2 is, in general, a bit more accepting of builds that are not quite on par, the dungeons are NOT and neither is PVP.

For example on my Engineer the build I would employ in a dungeon is not necessarily what I would employ in general play (though it could work), however, neither of those would be worth anything in PVP where build tolerance is CONSIDERABLY tighter.

Now I’m not saying do away with the pay to respec thing, that’s fine and it’s a modest amount of funds at 80.. nor am I saying get rid of the respec’ NPC. I’d hate to feel responsible for him losing a job in this economy and would feel guilty… no, just add the ability to save builds a-la GuildWars1 and that way once the traits are cleared one need only go to the build list and select the one for a given activity.

I agree. It was the best feature in GW1 and thought it would be in beta or on launch but nope.

Brilliant idea. I used to love experimenting with builds but because of the complexity of doing so in GW2 it is something that I have really been put of. Its a shame because it makes the game much interesting.
We already don’t have second professions like GW1 so playing around with builds is less fun, please don’t let complexity ruin what fun we can have.
