because gratitude is a burden and revenge a pleasure.”
Suggestion: Separate sPvP class forums.
because gratitude is a burden and revenge a pleasure.”
We’ve been asking for this since BETA, it doesn’t seem likely at this point.
Devs seem to do quite a bit of stuff based on popular demand (look at last SotG).
I’ve gotta say it’s been quite a while since I’ve seen anyone asking for this change, so can’t be surprised it didn’t happen.
I wouldn’t rule out this change, but I don’t expect it to happen if the community doesn’t push for it.
because gratitude is a burden and revenge a pleasure.”
The problem lies within the players itself.
If the thread is in the sPvP section, wvw/pve has nothing to do with it and shouldn’t be brought up there.
On the other hand sometimes people ask the wrong question as in “whats a good d/d build for pvp?” when they actually mean wvw (which is still pvp if you dont pvd all day hue).
I agree with Harrier, since people can’t communicate properly there needs to be a way to separate.
Be it in a spvp sub-forum intended for classes, or even an actual “Forum Rule” that everyone has to comply with and is very simple: Tagging the thread.
Example:
[sPvP] Whats a good d/d build?;
[WvW] Whats a good d/d build?;
could be a good idea to seperate the forums considering skill changes will be pve/pvp split

it’s a good idea actually.

The profession forums are a bit meh at the moment. Can’t properly discuss skills the way it’s setup right now. People will just find weird, sub-par uses for useless skills, which will continue being useless since the right idea won’t come across to the devs.

With the seperation, definitely a “must”. Also PvP-ppl rarely visit the class-forums.
Why? We already have class forums. If it’s a class specific issue, talk about it in the class specific forum.
If it’s a general sPv kitten ue, post it here.
If it’s a general WvW issue, post it in WvW.
/agreed, especially when there is a discussion that’s clearly about sPvP and it get’s transferred to the seperate class-forums, which isn’t heavily visited by PvP’ers afaik.
It’s one of the numerous changes that should have happened/been implemented a while ago.

Funk Load, Funky Boot
Would love to see it.
Current class forums are not a good place to discuss classes in PvP, as they are mostly dominated by PvE and WvW players. Players coming from diffirent game modes have completely diffirent views on class balance, which makes discussion much more difficult. Most PvPers make their class-related threads on this forum, making it quite cluttered.
I’ld love to see a setup similar to GW2Guru, where PvP class forums are separated from WvW/PvE ones.
Adding some extra subforums is a simple change, and I believe it’ld benefit PvP community greatly

It would help out the class forums as well. There are plenty of discussions on the ranger class forums about pet survivability, which is dramatically different in PvE and PvP. The whole class is very different in PvE and discussions are hindered by people talking about performance in two different environments.
+1, it is really needed, if i start talk about elementalists here ppl just whine how op this class still is, if we have sub forums u could better differentiate which ppl want to talk about elementalists and which ppl just want to cry themselves to sleep, which also will help u to get the right informations when u balance stuff etc.
