My suggestion is to make a vote page or something for each of the sugegstions made, so, that way we’ll know what’s the most important changes the majority want and what it’s just mimimi… aannnd… we can see if a sugegstion is already made and just corroborate for it..

No one is posting here.. so I think a “dislike” button for posts is something to keep in mind.. I have readed some garbage suggestions and maybe people think my suggestion is garbage.. just hit the dislike button or the like button.. done

This is a temporary solution. I highly doubt that the suggestion system will not include some sort of voting/discussion feature. Because that would not be vary organised.

A vote is a bad idea. It’s just asking for people to read the first post, misunderstand it, then vote on that misunderstanding.

Or you have a suggestion that sounds good at first glance. So lots of people vote for it. Then someone points out a reason why it is actually a terrible idea. A reason lots of people missed, but agree with it now they think it through. Problem is, most of the votes happened before that reason was posted.

What about a complex suggestion that would be good for GW2 as a whole, but most of the people who understand it are a tiny fraction of the community that would be hurt by it ?
The idea would get low approval.

What happens when ANET implements an idea with low approval ?
Or keeps refusing an idea with high approval ?

Popularity is not going to tell an ANET if an idea is a good one or not. Which is why suggestion forums generally have rules against /signed posts, as they just drown out discussion. Discussion which does help show if an idea is a good one.

I didnt said “stop the discussion”… the vote system is just for easy perceive by us and the dev the most appealing suggestions.. of course common sense and discussion is always there… and we could change votes as the discussion goes on..

Even if you can change votes, the problem is that a lot of people won’t. They will just read the title, probably read the opening post (if they post, then their failure to read the opening post becomes very obvious. Not so if they only vote), vote, then never visit the thread again. Since they will never see new arguments, they will never change their vote.

Even if that was somehow solved, the discussion is what should convince ANET that an idea is good or not. Voting adds nothing to the discussion.

the same way a person will not change their vote a person could ignore any discussion and never see posts in forums and give a f** for suggestions.. the purpose of voting is to see the most appealing suggestions.. nothing more nothing less.. there are lots of people that come to the forum and never post anything.. and there’s more players that are out there playing and never haven’t seen a post.. if voting adds nothing then how come a discussion of 10% of the players (i’m been generous here) adds?

ok.. i was way to generous there.. 1% of the players is a generous number more close to the reality..
