While I am not an avid roleplayer (RPer), it has bothered me how there are so many wonderful areas and buildings in Tyria with lots of chairs and sofas….that none of which your character can sit in/on. I understand that a developer has already expressed that creating the ability to sit in chairs would be impossible because every single chair in the game would have to be redone and they would have to take into account the different races’ sizes and what not. In other words, it’s a big, impossible mess.

Thus, I offer you a solution! (and a request)
The fold-out party chair express (name pending)
It would (preferably) be an account-bound item that, when selected, will cause your character to sit in a chair that is different depending on race. The stipulations are that your character must be out of combat and cannot be in water. It has to be on land. That way the issue of remaking all the chairs in the game is a non-issue, and people can have their characters sit in towns, bars, fields, etc.
This can easily be a gem store item, and I’m certain that a lot of people (especially on Tarnished Coast and Piken Square) will purchase it in seconds! I know that I would throw my money at it in a heartbeat.

tl;dr: A portable chair item that, when selected, causes your character to sit in a chair. Must be out of combat and on land. Probably a gem store item.

I like your idea, I too hope they implement a sitting on a chair.

I agree. This would be a great RP item. Of course it would be hard to play musical chairs.

I agree. It’d help the atmosphere of the settings if we could sit and enjoy them in game.

Yesss. I would love my Sylvari to have a tree stump to pull out of his inventory when he felt like taking a rest!!!
Also it would be really awesome if they would make the seats already in game usable.

It’d be a cool addition, even moreso if it were part of a big ‘player housing’ update.

I hope that chairs is the very last item on Arenenets priority list. There are so many other things they need to address before sitting on a couch.
