[Suggestions] Martial Artist and Cestus.
I would love to play a Monk or martial artist type profession, and I do want to see some fist weapons — but in terms of filling in gaps, we need another heavy armor class more than anything else. There are only two of those, but three lights and three mediums. I don’t know how important it is to maintain that kind of balance, though it seems to me that you want to prevent one type of gear from being drastically higher or lower in demand.
None of the armors fit the profession.
Heavy? Nah, I guess it might work but those are ‘knight’ professions that this fits and monks aren’t really knights.
Medium? I guess if you want to make a Neo clone, the whole trench coat look sort of doesn’t fit but maybe.
Light? NOOOOOOooo. No. A dress wearing monk? That’s totally not kungkittenish. I mean, have you looked at some of the female light armor? Poofy dresses with an open front? come on…
Well I think they need to add a Heavy armor too but still feel sad that i don’t have my gamestyle in the game, since the game is so awesome i really think they should try to add this and a Knight too as soon as possible.
And about the Armors i think Light is the on that fits the most, if you take other games like Diablo that Monks are basically topless but yes it’s kinda hard to think of something like this as a monk or a Martial Artist.
They should have a basic melee option with fighting. Like a way to defend yourself without any weapons. It would be neat to have the slot unlocks occur slower, so that you start out with only one slot and progress with more later on, to really get the essence that a character is learning new brawl techniques.
Thiefs are the games martial artist..just improve them, no need for game/ lore unfitting stupid monks.
When iwll people finaly get it, that monks don’t fit anymore to the game worlds lore and especially gameplay and start to think on, how the already existing classes can be better improved with things, they are wishing for …
The thief ist the most agile class of the setting, they are based on gw1’s assins which were basically already the games martial artists… so if there should be any martial artistic class at all, then the Thief!
The step from Daggers to Cesti isn’t a great deal…
