Just got my T3 chest+legs (Protector’s) last night after drooling over it for the past month but finally giving in to purchasing despite the high cost.
However, I wish the dye option of the cloth/mantle in front/back was 2-part so you could do one colour on the main part of the cloth and another for the fringe… I believe this could’ve given you some awesome combos and more unique appearance considering this is prestige gear after all.
Instead, it currently takes only one dye slot for the entire ribbon/cloth part and then does your selected dye in one darker hue for the main fill and a lighter for the fringe. I’d much rather want for example dark blue/red/white/green fill with gold/silver/white/bronze trimmings, etc.
I’d love that. I’d probably use the T3 human heavy cultural if it were a little more flexible in terms of coloration (but the same can be said of certain pieces of other cultural sets too…)
I have the female T3 human cultural and this is something that’s bothered me since first getting the armor. For such an expensive set, the dye options are rather plain, so it would be fantastic to be able to apply 2 colours to the fabric.
Two more small complaints about this armor – the metal belt is of a different texture than the rest of the armor. What I mean is I cannot dye the belt to be the same colour as the armor because the same dye gives vastly different results, even though they are both metal. So my belt is always a different colour from my suit of armor. (In the screenshot below you can see the belt is far lighter even though it’s the same dye.)
The chest piece has a useless small dye slot on it that does nothing, (shown as yellow in the screenshot.)
These may be small annoyances, but it’s often the little things that grate the most.
Thanks for elaboration on the suggestion, Enmity. Fully support all the extra details there, particularly for T3 cultural heavy in this thread, but in general making it more varied across the board for other cultural armors.
Having spent 55 gold on 2 main prestige pieces, I’m baffled and disappointed I can’t make them look as awesome as they should/could be.
