Support told me to post this here. Please chime in to show your support in getting this fixed by the devs…

Every so often I liquidate a lot of junk on the TP. About every 3 weeks or so I’ll sell off varying quantities of dozens of different items on the TP for whatever the highest buyer is paying.

And while doing this, I get an error message that says “Error Attempting to Sell” every few items. I’m essentially blocked from selling for an unspecified period of time that ranges from a few seconds to a minute or so.

Now if this happened every so often, it wouldn’t be so bad. But it happens constantly. I wind up spending more time trying to get through this error than I do selling stuff off. As with any annoyance that is constant, it’s easy to become borderline irrational when bombarded by it.

So as I sit here now typing this I’m about ready to burn the TP (and the rest of LA) down.

So you know how the constant annoyance in “water torture” of drops of water landing on a victims forehead will drive that victim crazy? Or how a parent will eventually lash out at a kid who pesters them long enough? Or how slight friction against your skin will eventually rub that skin raw? “Error attempting to sell” represents a similar cruel and unusual punishment.

Can we get this looked at already?

Yea, please. I empty my collectibles often, usually with big stacks of stuff and have to constantly deal with this issue.

Yeah I’m getting ready to shoot someone over this.

i have found the best way to get around this atm is by switching to “lowest buyer” or “lowest seller” for a few seconds, then setting the price you really want to sell it for.

It seems by doing this, you are forcing the awesomium.exe to reset itself and clear it’s cache.

One of the trade-offs of having a global trading post really. Loads of transactions happening in real time from all the world servers is bound to lead to some degree of lag. Just try waiting fifteen seconds, or space out each listing by waiting a couple of seconds before you place the next.

This bug is really annoying. It’s been like that since launch. If you try to sell lots of things in short time, it completely bugs….
