If nobody can sell to a buy order lower than vendor value, why do you allow people to make buy orders lower than vendor value?

This makes no sense.. please fix this obviously broken system.

Exactly, this is being done by people to force buyers to buy from the listed price rather than promote competitive marketing.

I totally agree – definitely stop the buyers from placing cheap orders like that… it would save a lot of returns on error messages for the sellers, too!

I completely agree. The TP obviously knows vendor value in its design because it wont let you list for under vendor value. So why can people place orders under vendor value? All buy orders should be at least 2 copper above vendor value.

Yeah no kidding… In the beginnning you couldnt post something less it was market value now you can post buy orders in there for let then they will allow you to sell them for lol why it is a horrible sight like some tagger came along and spray painted all over the tp

Yes i agree this makes the market weird and should be addressed.
I end up breaking down items for parts rather than selling them at a loss.

Yep make the system limit the cost to the basic selling price to a vendor to include transaction fees.

fixing this obvious oversight in the TP system would be nice, but also they should give some thoughts to not allowing people to place items for 1 copper more than vendor value.
Or more specifically, not allow them to post an item for a value that would profit them more for selling to the vendor. Or, at least make it more clear to players that THEY WILL LOSE 15% FROM OVERALL SALE value.. and that posting lower than a vendor value not only makes them lose money for nothing, but also makes it harder for other people to make a profit from items.

Creating new mystic forge recipe’s to help drive the cost up of unwanted items is fine, but I think my suggestion would have a longer-lasting resolution to the issue.

also it annoys me that this reflects the top items (most demanded etc) as this info is based from buy orders, not actual sales. AND the search results value is often based on buy orders, not sure if this is a bug or not but ye.. the whole thing needs a bit of a logical re-think imo.

now all you need to do is return to the players their orders currently pending which are less than vendor value (as it’s now impossible to make these orders), and then we will finally get a true value of buy orders for items on the trading post.
