YOU ARE NOT THE INVENTOR OF WORDS!!! lol
My buds and I often try to ninja keeps with 5-8 men and with the new changes were left in the cold since everyone keeps scouts in keeps now, and as soon as we hit something there are swords it has made this type of play much harder if it can be done at all with enemy forces on the map. Even if we que quaggs the time it takes to siege and run supply is much longer than 3 min this all this while avoiding a scout.
This would also stop red flaging with one toon.
So you’re upset that your enemies are maintaining an effective defense? Don’t ask them to change the game, adapt your tactics.
They took away orange swords for five people or less, and now you want them to take away the white ones too? Why don’t you just ask to take away swords all together or make it 30 people for white swords on a objective and 60 for orange swords.
A supply camp is a supply camp. Whether you’re 5 or 30 you’re still capturing what’s not yours and this gives the “owner” the natural right to defend their territory
Do people just not want to ever fight each other in this game? A ninja cap is doable right now, heck can be done with 20 people with the swords change, but it often takes the enemy zerg being distracted elsewhere, or being very fast about it. As it should be.
If there were no swords for small teams, having even one scout in a location wouldn’t be enough for keeps, garrison and SM, you’d need multiple people to watch every single gate 24/7. That’s more into the realm of a job than a fun game.
You cannot avoid a scout and you call yourself a ninja?
Does this help the huge map zergs and the zerglings? No? Then it would never happen.

Just go play wintergrasp in WoW bro.
I disagree

Yes it does. Competent groups were ALWAYS able to avoid orange swords when the cap was 5. If white swords go away at 5, you’ll have the same zergs slamming your keeps with the same golems/tw/port chains, but you’ll not be able to respond in time.
4 golems, 1 mesmer
no white swords.
Brilliant.

What?
If you do that, you might as well not have walls, or gates, and just have nothing but open field PvP.

Sounds great.
The swords are fine as is, stop complaining and step it up a bit.

A strategy for OP’s proposal…
No swords at all is a silly idea. Allowing teams to ninja things simply because no one is there would only cause headches and crying for the defending team. It would also encourage camping in towers in fear that it might be flipped and no one wants to do that.
Have you tried only ninja’ing keeps/towers when there is a distraction on the map? Like a commander leading a large group or a big fight over something else?
Taking away orange swords for 5 ppl was awesome. Very good idea, it means that the bigger forces needs to scout and go and check instead of just opening the map. It’s a huge advantage for roaming guilds with less than 25 ppl. Good step against solving the zerg issues. BUT the white swords should remain. It’s an indication to where you want to go. Check map “Oh white swords might check that out” etc.

The white swords where there before too, they have not changed at all.
PS: try not PvDooring all day and get out there and fight for what you want.
It takes away any chance to be sneaky unless you can run supply, get through 2 doors, and down a lord in less than 3min which can not be done with 5 people. Someone above said doesn’t anyone want to fight lol those zerg battles are hardly fights and if this change was made then you might actually run into small groups.

I read his post as “small strike teams shouldn’t send up flares alerting the entire enemy army. If our foes have left sentries to defend their keeps, let those sentries raise the alarm themselves”. I don’t know if that’s what he actually said, but that’s what I’m going to pretend he said. And I’m going to agree him. And by “him”, I mean myself.
^lol right. They are going to have watchmen there if they are any good, I just want a chance to be able to try to sneak past them because like you said swords alarm the whole map. This was what I meant if it had come out any other way it was by mistake.
Edit: We play in T1 so there are always watchmen that may have been the disconnect.

I was reading on another thread and realized golems create an issue in respect to this, to due away with said issue I propose golems always cause orange swords when they attack or take dmg.
