Guild Wars 2

Disclaimer: I am not implying I hate sharks and that we should not be able to have them as aquatic pets! I actually love sharks (but not as much as dolphins…).

Sharks in Guild Wars 2 are the type of sharks that are not tamable in real life… These sharks look like tiger sharks (which are pretty dangerous). They would not normally follow human commands nor following you around without the urge to maul you, eat you, etc. Yet by pressing F, we can tame them like nothing.

Dolphins however, are easily tamable in real life but not so in Guild Wars 2. Why can’t we tame dolphins as aquatic pets? I suggest to have them available in the future at some point… It doesn’t really make sense to me how a shark, but not a dolphin can be tamed. I’ve always wanted to play an mmo with dolphins as pets… cough While there are better things to suggest, there’s no harm in trying :P. Thanks for reading!

If you want to get technical about it, you shouldn’t be able to tame jellyfish either. They don’t really have brains, and all they do is drift around waiting for food to run into them. They can’t keep up with your active swimming speed, let alone follow your commands in battle.

I just tell myself “this isn’t Earth.” Sure, that shark might LOOK like a tiger shark, but who knows how the ecology of this planet works? Sharks in the game’s universe are able to be tamed and follow your commands.

Though I agree, you should have the option to tame dolphins as well.
