I fully agree, it was one of my greatest frustrations in Aion PvP so much RNG :/

Let me elaborate,
If you are a elementalist using a staff and your doing AC you want to be able to see who one of the bosses is targeting. Because if i can then use my healing skills from my water attunement in time to start healing the appropriate team mate.
Besides its handy because bosses switch targets allot and some people dont dodge in time. If you see him switching target and your a thief you know its time to get the thell out of melee range.
I know why you want to have this feature, also i’m aware that this feature is very handy. Still i don’t want it in this game.
Players shouldn’t just stare at their UI, they should keep an eye on their enemy and of course your teammates.
I’m not sure it is appropriate in this game. As a full time healer in every other MMO I’ve ever played I would usually get behind this 100% but as this one makes a huge break from the trinity and aggro is so “mysterious” I feel like ToT could possibly impact the balance of the game negatively.
Most of the heals in this game are AoE or supplemental (proc off of attacks, bounce between targets, etc.) so there are few times you will ever be directly healing one single person. This would also make some abilities too powerful, for example, the guardian ability that leaps to another person and protects them. I prefer (for pvp reasons) that the player actually react to the visual ques on screen.
I wouldn’t cry or protest if they added ToT, in fact, I have often myself longed for it. I am just not sure this is the right game for it.

Except that when fighting in event when enemy is small and 30 players are hitting it I am affraid the enemy is no longer vissible on my screen. Sometimes not even my character. That is why you need target of target and cast bar for mobs.
Second option would be cutting all particle effects in halth and turning off screen shaking and I assure you, that would make combat even more dull than it is.
I don’t think it’s needed.
First of all, you don’t have dedicated healers/supporters. You can build support-oriented, yes, but even then you’re not support-only.
Second of all … how about actually looking at what’s happening in the game? I’ll tell you how you can usually tell who’s the target of your target: your target is attacking it! It’s not all that hard to figure out, really, unless of course it’s a massive zerg battle, but then it doesn’t really matter any more anyway.
I can play the game perfectly well as it is, I don’t think there’s a need for target’s target functionality or cast bar.
I know it may sound cheesy, but …. play the game, not the UI =P

^ This. The design is made so you DON’T stare at the UI. Yes, it would be useful, but it would do more to harm the combat of the game.

“Stare at UI” well i think thats kind of exaggarated, implementing this feature imo would make certain situations just much more clear. I’d love if they implement it but i’d be able to live with it if they dont.
The opinion on UI extentions seems to be split up pretty big, some people for example want health bars in PvP for team mates aswell. There is another Topic somewhere on the PvP department of the forums about it.
Anyways i think some more UI features like the ToT would be nice but ye: too much of anything is never good.
