Teleporting bots
Better yet, Anet could log everytime a node is hit, and then scan the log files for something along the following:
X amount of nodes in Y amount of time over a total time of Z.
For example, 10 nodes in less than 60 seconds and a total time of hitting nodes over 2 hours.
Every now and then (very rarely) someone actually at keys could be doing this for an extended period of time, but it would certainly hone in on those who are abusing the teleport bot thing. Once this flag is raised, then someone at Anet could watch this persons actions, and see that they are teleporting and/or botting (it’s very apparent once you watch them for a few seconds).
Then BANHAMMER! And I don’t mean a 1 day ban, I don’t mean a 3 day ban, go for the glory, and perma-ban these scumbags! Once the gold farmers have had several accounts banned for this, they’ll have to raise the price of the gold they sell to pay for the accounts lost. If the price raises high enough that they can’t compete with gem sales, it’s bye bye botter/farmers (which in the long run means more revenue for Anet as well).
Would be nice if Anet cared. These hacks have been out since launch and anet has done absolutely nothing to stop them.
Rather then putting huge overheads on all the servers to try and catch the bots and hack users, Anet should spent 3 seconds googling and download all the bots programs out there and fix the holes in their code that allow the use of these 3rd party programs.

The bots are becoming much more sophisticated. The age of rangers doing laps with bears seems like a thing of the past.
I have seen these teleporting node farmers. They appear inside the node, farm it, then disappear. It’s over in literally seconds, in which time you have a space to respond.
Retrospek has some interesting ideas.
The Warrior turns to the guardian and says, “Did you hear something?”
Guardian replies, “No, but how’d the elementalist die?”
I saw one that was stuck by a waypoint. It would rapidly appear and disappear. My group stood there for a couple of minutes trying to click on the name to report it but it wasn’t possible since it was rapidly flickering on and off the screen.
Maybe if there was a way to type the name, place and time into a report, ANet could find a bot from that and see the mechanics of how it operates.
It’ll be a while before anything is done. Anet isn’t very careful.
