Please remove these dailies again. They make the overflow problem worse than it was before.
This is how it is on my server during daytime currently:
Tequatl queues? Over one hour even with taxi (probably we kill him multiple times a day)
Shatterer? Overflow before he even arrives
Jormags Claw? Map almost instantly full because of champion zerg

This daily makes me furious. After trying to get into tequatl map for about an hour with spamming join button on a taxi, I gave up and camped at Shatterer to get the daily done. Sure I could have waited in overflow, but spending another 15min there just to get the achievement but have the event fail is not fun. Most of the time people in overflow just spam click on their taxi and dont care to even try the event.

Hey at least you still get to kill Teq. With my server we try once a week (will be skipping this week due to Pink Day)…
The rest of the time there is no one there.
As for the other bosses, you can always guest on a different server if its up…

I could’ve swore that it’s participation in a Tequatl fight or kill any of the world bosses. Similar to the other one where you just have to participate. I’d look up the actual achievement text except nobody has been updating their lists.

It’s exactly that Ayrilana. I got it from killing Fire Elemental, whose pre-event pops every 30 minutes or so. Far easier to go see FE and get it done than attempt to do Teq.

There are two different dailies. One is you have to participate in the Teq fight, the other is Teq or any other world boss (though temple ones don’t seem to count…).

Ahh, didn’t see that one skullmount. I only saw the one where you had to fight any world boss.

Yeah, yesterdays was the Teq or any world boss, and Wednesday (or was it Tuesday?) was the other one. The one where you have to participate in only the Teq fight is annoying, since for most servers (imo) don’t have anyone even attempting him anymore (I know mine doesn’t. We try maybe once a week, if we can get enough people in TS).

Meh … you just have to “participate” not actually kill it. When that one comes up I just jump over if I see there is ~2minutes left and hit a few kraits around the turrets. I am not chasing AP so I don’t even do that unless I happen to see it up with little time left and there is nothing else up.

Tequatl Daily again today. Had to get up early to make it into non overflow (we managed to beat him)

I went into an overflow, participated, we lost, and I got credit.

You get credit, but its a pointless waste of time if you are on overflow.

Because it’s become a server wide, raid style boss. Gotta motivate your server to do him, and get people organized before hand. JQ beats him twice a day, once right after server reset, and the second one is the second time he spawns, so 2h30min later or whatever his spawn time is. We have our groups made and ready as soon as his spawn window comes up, we know where everyone is going, what everyone is doing, and people from each group on TS with one leader directing everyone. It’s a highly coordinated fight that requires time and dedication but it’s doable.

Dailies are in part there to encourage people to do things.
You are more likely to find people for a dungeon story when it’s story daily.

But I doubt they will work for Tequatl, as people prepare themselves or it in their own schedules, and players joining impromptu will never, ever be able to beat it.

And for the other world bosses, there’s always people already.

I have never once had a problem doing world bosses when it’s the daily world boss thing. You actually have to prepare slightly and be in the map a little before it spawns, instead of trying to join when the pre/event actually comes up.

This is kinda of the problem… you kill him twice a day straight after reset, if you cant be there at that time then there is little hope of getting this done since no matter the server, this area seems empty after that time.

Silly thing is, that other day I was in a overflow (yep just after reset), no ts/rc/vent just alot of randoms that decided we would give it a go since everyone should know what to do by now, and we made it with 3mins on clock. Ofc we had the nayslayers that wanted to do just flawless.. or try for hidden but in the end this the map won because we tried, unfortunately its the people attitude failing this now, “Omg Overflow this is gonna fail”. It took one small group to change the maps opinion, wasnt the smoothest kill id been on, but in a way a lot more fun

Tequatl has a queue on some servers?! In Underworld he’s just all by his lonesome, and eventually after 15mins of roaring at precisely no one, he gets all mad, rampages the shores and goes to cry in his corner.

Well then that’s just proving it even more, if a group in overflow is able to rally the server to do it, then get out there and rally… I understand what you’re saying but I don’t think the world bosses were MEANT to be farmed over and over again every time they’re up.

Teq gives a reason for the server to join together and actually CARE about what they’re doing instead of mindlessly zerging and knowing that throwing themselves at the boss like lemmings off a cliff will eventually kill it.

And yet, somehow, most servers don’t do it. So, no, I don’t think he gives servers a reason to care about what they’re doing. Most servers ignore him. He’s been done 4 times on SoS since he was introduced. Seems like we don’t care about him at all.

Then start caring… Like I said, my server does him every night, twice a night- how is it Anets problem that your server doesn’t want to involve themselves enough to get him done?
