Test before putting patches on Live
Here’s the sad thing, there was no patch today! It’s content that was added last week but not unlocked until today.
Is it really that hard to run tests for a few hours before putting a patch on the Live server? Today’s effigy patch has broken numerous events, which are currently stuck in limbo. If you’d tested for a few hours, you’d have caught this in house.
Hmm? Which are these “numerous events” you talk of?
All I see that is broken is the meta-achievement for the festival, so please enlighten me.
You also seem to be under the illusion that they do not test stuff. This is quite clearly false and anyone with any kind of programming knowledge would be well aware that a test-server will never be identical to a live server, so no matter how much you test stuff, there are always a risk that issues slips through.

Maybe you should check the Game Bugs forum before making snide comments.
I really doubt they don’t test new content before it goes live, but it would be nice if they made sure content works completely before releasing it instead of posting known issues in the bugs section and thinking that is good enough

I’d imagine somethings just can’t be tested without a full server load.

They do test content before putting it out, it’s just very hard for them to completely test how things will react on the live server.
