Sometimes when I’m aiming for zone completion, I’m stuck scanning the map looking for that one point of interest I missed, or that one heart I missed. A quality of life improvement for this situation could be a sort of “icon toggle.” As a first pass, I imagine being able to set any of the features of the map, Point of Interest, Vista, Waypoint, Heart, or Scout, to “pulse” (with a ripple of light, say) if they are revealed. Just a small effect that would highlight these types on our map so we can see if we’ve revealed one but failed to find it.

With this feature, no extra information is being given because the items have to be revealed to pulse. It just serves to speed up the fairly annoying task of scanning the map for those last few items.

I totally agree, I actually logged on to make thread about this.
I have 1 poi missing in Malchor’s Leap and it has been like that for weeks, I’m actually starting to think it’s a bug, because there’s no where I didn’t look at.

A solution for this would be panning to the missing exploration points when i click on them in the map view(when I click on the list in the middle left that shows how many places left to explore)

You could also use http://gw2cartographers.com/ , pretty useful. But I guess this would be fine ingame.

Hi Starscream, thanks for the site, that is useful. I occasionally used external maps, but the problem is, for me I do not find doing a direct comparison to be very rewarding or fun.

I think I’d even be willing to pay an “activation fee” of a few silver to enable this feature for a map (as long as I could toggle it on and off for free from then on), if they need to add another money sink to the game.
