While it may not be used in every game every published, the use of the asterisk to convey action is a commonly accepted standard on forums and in games. On this forum, the use of enclosed asterisks results in bolded text.

It’s all well and good to use new forum software with new commands, but this is very confusing and is akin to re-mapping keybindings without highlighting conflicts.

It is only an error you make once though and then I have found it very easy to never repeated. It is also easy to edit that first post to remove the error so no one even has to know!

I have to admit I use bold more than I do actions so it is nice they made formatting so quick and simple.
