The Hub of Time
Would also like to see what orr looked like… well guess that never happens.
Except, the content would have to be created from scratch and would be dozens of times more extensive then the usual monthly releases.
And even for an expansion, the “hub” concept is kind of restrictive.
Why release a ton of content that’s already done in an older game when they could create all new content?
Sure, the uncertainty of new stuff makes you cling to nostalgia, but I think if any company can pull it off, I think it’s ANet. They should focus on filling up the current GW2 world with new content. There’s a load of areas that are still blank and waiting to be explored.
Not to mention Elona and Cantha are still not in the picture…
Lv80s: Guard, Thief, Necro. Renewed my Altaholic’s card on the HoT Hype-Train. Choo choo~
I would love to play though the Fall of Ascalon.
Most of what was supposed to be Utopia became GWEotN and GW2.
The “Summoners” became the Sylvari
The landscape became Rata Sum, The Black Citadel, and Ebonhawk etc.
Look at all the concept art for Utopia and compare it to GW2 and you will see what I mean.
Lady Alexis Hawk – Main – Necromancer
Ravion Hawk – Warrior
I think the main features I’d be interested in most would be exploring Orr and the new classes (Chronomancer + Summoner) would be fun. They could definitely incorporate it like they did with fractals… you’re limited to the zones you Time Travel to, ie. Orr and some of the major events/areas of GW1… already being done with fractals to a degree. Perhaps venture to Arah to walk with the gods. If you venture too far from your destination… the energy that created the jump through time collapses and pulls you back to your original point in time. I also realize that what was created for Utopia was put into place in EotN and parts of GW2 with the Asura and Rata Sum, but I think they can take it so much further with an expansion including the discovery of the Hub of Time. Maybe the race behind the technology is Ancient Asura or the Humans using what remains of the technology of the gods before the Cataclysm.
Just shows how much possibilities are available to GW2.

Haven’t we got FotM for places in the past?
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.
One thing is Orr in the past, but do you think an expansion in the coming years will be what happens to Orr after your first personal story?
Not going to spoil anything, but there’s room for developing on that – past Trahearne’s really dull voice summarising what’s going on.

Maybe they could actually make Trahearne redeemable and likeable for turning that kittenhole into something that isn’t full of chain-CC undead.
