In my opinion, they are pretty overpriced for them. Reason why is cause they are soulbound on use, I suggest that they should only be account bound.

Another way to make them (worth their price)better, instead of making them gather the same amount of times as regular gathering tools, make them gather only once for the same amount as you would as when you gather them normally. For example; when gathering a vein, you hit the vein 3 times for 3 ores, make it that you hit the vein 1 time for 3 ores. This would make it save bag space and a bit of time.

I agree they should be account-bound. But I mean it’d be just as annoying having to switch the tools from character to character.

Considering how much Anet cares more about money than fun I highly doubt this will happen when tons of people (that throw money around like it’s trash) just dumped $100+ on buying these stupid tools for every character.

I personally wouldn’t ruled out the possibility of implementing this change. For if they truly are trying to force people to use more real money in their game they would also make “http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Copper-Fed_Salvage-o-Matic” soulbound and not the current account bound.

However i’m not ruling out the possibility of the worst scenario either.I just hope people will keep their will to fight and voice out their concern for this problem. Hopefully this will reach the Devs and they’ll become moved by our united gamers’ spirit :P (sorry there was a sudden urge to make this sound cheesy in the end)

I agree. These should be just account bound. Soulbinding should really just be removed all together. It’s a shame since these tools are some of the few things worth getting from the Gem Store, (even with the current price and soulbinding) and they discourage you from using any characters that don’t have them.

The Copper Fed Salvage-o-matic is probably the most dubious item in the whole game. Taken as being the equivalent of the 88 copper salvage kit you save just about a half a copper per use. Then I assume you have to switch it between characters (travel to bank, put it in, get it out on second toon). Which would cost more on average than just using the standard kits. It should have been 1 copper per use or even free.

As to the gathering tools, I agree. I might have bought a set for them if they had been account bound.
