Love Guild Wars 2, awesome game and all. But even an awesome game can still be improved. So lets approach this matter Skritt style by creating a collective mind and constructing a single list that holds all the little easy things that could be done to make this game even better.

Give your input in replies and I vow to constantly edit the top topic so that ArenaNet can get a clear and easy overview of all the small things that could still be improved upon.

The only condition: They need to be small and easily implementable. So asking for a new set of dungeons, others forms of new content (PvP maps etc) doesn’t quite fall into this category.

Key:
VVVVVV = Has been implemented into the game

Communication suggestions:
- A timestamp indicator in all chat channels so you can actually see when someone typed something VVVVVV
- Being able to withdraw specific items attached to an email rather than having to withdraw them all at once.
- Being able to send emails between different characters of the same account, saving a player a lot of time depositing/withdrawing items from his bank tabs.

Guild Suggestions:
- The ability to send Guild wide email, facilitating communication
- The ability to send an Officer email to people with the proper level of clearance
- A chat channel for Guild officers, facilitating communication/organizing during events
- A log in and log off indication in Guild chat of members along with a timestamp of when they came in or went offline
- Message of the day being auto posted in the Guild chat upon log in.
- A last log in time for Guild members being shown in the Guild roster

Trade suggestions:
- Player to player trading, allowing people to stand next to each other and hand over items rather than having to email one another.

Interaction suggestions:
- Being able to inspect another player’s gear + preview what it would look on your own character. To my knowledge it’s not possible to see another player’s gear, stats and abilities ingame. It certainly would be nice to be able to preview his/her items to see what they would look like on your own character.

- Being able to preview Guild unlockable items. Things like Guild chestpieces and backpacks, as far as I can tell, cannot be previewed on one’s characters. Since these items are fairly expensive it would be nice to know up front if you’re going to appreciate the look it will give to your character or not before spending gold coins on them.

- Being able to preview items on the trade post. It’s quite awkward that one cannot use a preview function to see what a sword or piece of garment looks like.

For some reason I`m against that, when people will be able to trade like this it will be a constant chat flood of “selling/buying” like it was in the first days of release(will be even worse)

Direct trading is just a means and imo you’re mixing up a mentality issue with a mere tool/means of communication.

Example: People could just as easily flood chat with buy/sell comments and subsequently email each other the money and items.

People will still do that for higher quality items anyway. Why would I want to sell an item on TP for 100g if I only get 90g after the fees? Alternatively, why would I risk giving that item to someone who may not pay?

WoW has a face to face trade system that was essentially flawless and where you could only be scammed if you really weren’t paying attention (the player to player trade system is one of the very few things where I think WoW does a better job than GW2).

But they don`t do that=), when direct secure trading will be available there will be no stop from chat flooding. If there`s a problem with tax, just put up higher price.

Added a few additional things to the original post:

1. Being able to inspect another player’s gear + preview what it would look on your own character. To my knowledge it’s not possible to see another player’s gear, stats and abilities ingame. It certainly would be nice to be able to preview his/her items to see what they would look like on your own character.

3. Being able to preview items on the trade post. It’s quite awkward that one cannot use a preview function to see what a sword or piece of garment looks like.

Notification: Turns out there is a timestamp function in the game now (anyone know if this was implemented through a mini patch, I’m fairly certain it wasn’t in the release version of the game).
