How about it? Since you have rich veins also patches of veggies and fruit through out the game, how about something like thick saplings? Perhaps course saplings would look thicker and could be gathered the same as Rich Veins do, though I bet this idea was already thought of.

I approve of anything that allows me to sing the Monty Python lumberjack song.
