Things I'd buy from the Gem Store
I would buy your Casual Transmutation Stone, if it worked on any piece of armor.
I would by a timer version of the hairstyle change kit that worked once a week.
I would by a timer version of a make-up kit that worked 2-3 times a week, if they had make-up.
I would buy a kitten mini-pet, if I could have a black & white one.
I will buy the Name Change kit when that comes out.
I might buy town clothes, if they ever had any decent ones, which I deem unlikely.
I can’t think of anything else I would buy

GW1 Exclusives – Make them very expensive to keep them rare, but give us an avenue to get these that does not involve going back to GW1 which I doubt many people will do. I realize this might be touchy for those who have them, but I’m just saying I would definitely buy many of them.
These should never be introduced into gem shop. They’re basically just skins anyways, but they’re still the reward of hard work. Work that you can still do if you want, there is absolutely nothing stopping you. And “I do not like GW1” is no excuse. Should people be able to get fractal relics from the gemshop just because they do not like that content? Should people be able to get the completion star from gemshop just because they don’t want to go to WvW? (Or the opposite, they only do WvW)?
I’ll answer those questions for you: No.
Plain and simple. There is absolutely no need, and no reason even, to introduce reward items to gem shop.
People who can’t tend to call the opponent troll, scream something utterly incomprehensible
and finally result to personal insults.
+1^
I totally agree that these exclusive items that people spend endless hours of hard work and dedication should not be readily available to anyone to spend $50 and instantly get.
This is an excellent thread idea and I hope lots of people post here with more ideas!
Personally I don’t agree with the OPs suggestion of having more transmutation stones as
a) It would take away the feeling of diversity between all the different race and armor tier combinations.
b) It would be a little silly and confusing seeing warriors running around in frilly dresses.
If there were more benefits or fun things to do when wearing town clothes (costume brawl was a good start) then I would consider buying these if there was enough diversity to choose from.
My stance on paying real money for gems is that I will only consider buying something if it is a unique one off purchase. For example when I saw people flying around on a broom during Halloween I thought ‘wow that’s a really cool thing to have’ and bought it with real money. But If I want a total makeover kit I would buy the gems with gold because I see this is a standard item that I may want more of in the future.
