Things I miss from GW1
i also miss costumes and the assassin, but that is something ppl have bin asking for even during the GW2 beta.
What I miss from GW1:
1. Hardcode instances (FoW, UW, etc.) and Hard more dungeons
2. Guild versus Guild
3. Capes
4. Unique items (that dropped from specific bosses)
5. Zaishan bounties
6. Classes (such as ritualist and monk). I’d love a smite monk with a bit of aoe healing in GW2.
1) FoW, UW, ToPK, DoA, Urzogs and The Deep.
2) Capes.
3) HoM.
4) The sweet armor/weapon skins.
5) Monk, loved my smiter.
6) Repetable story instances!

Capes
Where did they go?? They were so awesome.. I know we have guild armor but that is no match for guild capes.. A small thing, probably shouldn’t take long to implement. (Judging by the little programming experience I have)
People kept getting caught on shrubs and dying!
Some classes are gone???
I really miss dervishes, paragons and ritualists.. It would be extremely cool to have them back.. Dervishes especially. They were just so cool with their scythes.. This would most likely take a long time but I think it would be really nice to at least add two of the lost classes..
To be fair, the Guardian is like a hybrid of a Monk meets Dervish. I do however wish they bring back the Monk as a healer/DPS hybrid and introduce new weapon types (bo staffs, knuckle dusters, etc) where they deal with melee fights such as hand to hand or polearms, and then when it comes to healing they work with something similar to water attunements for elementalists.
Giving minipets a purpose
I’m not sure if this is from GW1 or some other MMO I played but minipets had a purpose, they ran around and picked up loot for you which I believe would be a good thing to implement. Would also be relatively simple to code and implement.
Minipets offered nothing in GW1, nothing has changed. I would like to see Ranger’s pets turned sort of into companions, similar to pets in Torchlight 1 and 2.
Bring back some weapons from GW1
Some weapons in GW1 like the BDS, ALL the tormented weapons (especially the shield – http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Tormented_Shield ) were really nice, I’d love to see them back in GW2.
I would like to have seen the kitten weapons I put on the hall of monuments carried over. That and I miss my Dragon Sickles. The whole inclusion of HoM has been over all disappointing because it crosses me as more of an after thought despite how much it was praised in GW:E

Some classes are gone because that’s what happens when you make a new game with a different vision.
Paragons and Ritualists: No. Some of their elements have already been absorbed into the new classes or existing ones.
Dervish is too human-centric. Most likely a deviated class would come from that but that would make it a medium class and would disrupt classes we already have.
If any I would vouch for a heavy class that can use a spear and take elements from Paragon. I’d rather have new classes than regurgitated ones that have already been picked clean by the existing classes.

Wasn’t into the flashy weapons with pretty effects but I would rather have the GW1 weapons AND armour sets. Not enough GW1 representation in this game I feel.

they do need a third heavy armor class.. perhaps a magical warrior?
a warrior that enchants their weapons/armor with magic and has attacks that can steal life ect. like a necro/ele mixed with warrior.
you know the typical spellblade type class.
What I miss:
Skill hunting – they really need to introduce a slew of new skills, and have the acquisition be through exploring the open world and capturing them from dead enemies. All they have to do is introduce a new elite “signet of capture” that you can equip in the (otherwise useless) elite slot.
Proper build diversity – I have a suggestion on this forum about separating the gear/stats/traits. That would be a good place to start.
Build templates.
Guild alliances.
Proper armour – not just anime inspired flaming/spikey garbage and trenchcoats – but armour that looks like… armour.
