Timetravel option to do historical events
I love the game, but I’m really thinking about quiting if there will be no way to collect the old achivements.
If you love the game but are going to quit just because some achievement for old content will be gone, bye! Please give me all your stuff before leaving!

I mean, my OCD feels your pain, but get some perspective here… Overreaction turned up to 11.
Anet is releasing new content every two weeks now, complete with new achievements. If you didn’t have the time for it then, it’ll just back up more and more until you will have no chance of completing stuff without it becoming a full time job.
If you want to quit, no one is stopping you. But the game is still good. You need to rethink how to approach it.

This… just because there was a couple achieves you can’t get now is no reason to quit a game you enjoy… and no one is making you log in every day… all the achievements are easily obtainable in 2 days without much effort. So really you in theory only need to log on once a week to finish all the event stuff… just seems really childish to give up over something as trivial as a couple achievement points.

What I hated about games like WoW is that I would fall behind stat wise and would never get to experience the new content. However there were always the “world’s first” achievements and I didn’t care that I did not have them.
they’re pumping out content so that people who are nolifers on this game would have what to do. However if you miss a living story, you’re not going to be locked out of the future content. All you would miss is an achievement point or two.
It would be nice to realease only monthly content with less bugs, instead of pumping it out. But thats another problem.
Yeah i would rather have Monthly content then weekly, because lets face it most of it will be riddled with bugs, issues and awful “balancing” changes.
Being a collector myself, I’d die for an option like that (ok, maybe that was a bit extreme :P let’s just say I’d really like if this kind of option could be available in the future).
I’d even pay a reasonable amount of irl money/gems/ingame golds or whatever to be able to play old contents, even if instanced, and get those achivements I missed back in the days (and those I will miss in the future – irl always gets in the way!).
Just my 2 cents.
Time travel is a horribly overused and uninspired gimmick.
