SAB has tools that give players access to areas they can’t get to otherwise. Candle and bomb are examples of this. Taken from games like Zelda.
Anet should have items like these for the open world. To open up hidden areas for players to enter.
torches
*blow fire balls
*lite items in world
*change holding the animation
*throw/drop torch on ground to light room and use weapon.
*weapon swap drops a torch on the ground
Bomb
*should be more than a reward for this new content.
*one use
*costs at least a 1 gold
*Can only have one in inventory/equiped
*used to limit or open up a path
Items that unlock paths
Grappling hook
*use on specific spots
Things to Climb on.
Shelves
*grave digging
*treasure hunting quests
Grow plants to climb up
All these items work in places the the player has to find. Just like hidden areas in the SAB.
Please no on the grappling hook. It’ll end up being this gimmicky cutscene-ish approach that would destroy all the enjoyment out of something like that.
