I think it would be neat if, when using a torch as one of your melee weapons, it was not sheathed using the same animation as other 1-handed weapons and then extinguished, but instead your character continued to hold it up in the appropriate hand and give off light. It seems like my character should be setting himself on fire every time he puts his torch away with the way it is now.

The real problem would be the running animations. But it’s a nice idea.

True, it might look strange with the current animations. Actually, the more I thought about it, the more I think it’d also be strange for someone to hold their torch out in the middle of the day. It would be pretty cool if the torch stayed out at night or down inside caves, though. Well, chalk this one up as something that probably requires a bit more work than is feasible in order to be executed properly…just something I thought of while dual-wielding with a torch earlier today.
