I did a forum search and didn’t find anything about town clothes!

This is an aspect of the game that I’ve long wondered about – why aren’t there more town clothes options? There’s a small variety when viewing the clothing on NPCs, but it’s still a bigger variety than what’s available to players.

I know this isn’t a high priority to most players, but I am a roleplayer and even when I’m not roleplaying, sometimes I want to look at something that’s not armor. Especially on medium and heavy armor wearing characters that are more or less locked into a specific look based on their gear. (Light armor has a lot more variety for looks that appear clothing-like.)

I’d love to see some basic fashions introduced through the crafting system, and though my personal budget for gems is limited, it would be nice to see more options available on the gemstore.

Much of the art already exists in game, though I understand it would have to be converted for multiple races (…or, what about adding a ‘cultural townclothes’ vendor in game, for karma? The Hero of Shaemoor really ought to be able to nab a stylish dress like Countess Anise’s from a Divinity’s Reach shop based on their reputation as a hero, don’t you think…?).
