The following is a long way of saying I want to see this too. This is a problem in all MMOs that I’m aware of. It is a modeling design problem. Your hair and the head item (hat etc) are the same skin (or mesh) so when one is present the other is not. Instead the hair should be a skin (mesh) under the head item skin (mesh) so that the one doesn’t override the other. I’d love to see the modeling in these games done better so that this sort of thing doesn’t happen. Unfortunately almost always modeling issues never get fixed unless they are a massive visual problem like going invisible. I’ve seen all sort of visual model issues in this and many other games, a common one is parts of your gear clipping other parts of gear or character model and gear clipping each other. They never get fixed. Hopefully arenanet while setting a new returned standard of quality of game more important that anything else will also set a standard of perfection rather than letting glitches and such fester without ever getting taken care of. If it’s not game breaking it should have the same priority as any other thing including coding new content/features. This is why game companies should have multiple teams that continually work on specific aspects of the game. It appears that arenanet has multiple teams. But do they have enough is probably the question to be asked after reading my post. If not then stuff like this will get put on a list but never gotten to or never even put on a list because they will already assume that it will never be gotten to.
