Trading Post is less than useful
I like it, saves me time. I can sell something in the field without have to stop farming.
What they should do is at least set a minimum “buy” price you can set.
The TP is cluttered with requests under the item price, and you can’t sell at that price anyways.
Selling just 1 copper over the merhant price has its uses, as you can’t always get to a merchant right away, but you can use the trading post anywhere, so you can just out them there instead.
Title of thread is completely inaccurate. I find the trading post more than useful, even given the botters selling at +1cp over vendor, doesn’t change this fact.
smack..Wut?…smack…smack…
The title of the thread is my opinion, therefore can not be inaccurate, regardless if it is different from your opinion.
99% of my stuff gets either vendored or salvaged. Why would I wait for my cash, then have to go to a special location to get it, and lose money in the process?
It’s not hard to craft or buy larger bags, or hit a vendor and sell junk & goods, or salvage items and deposit to collections.
Seriously, if you use the market regularly you’re getting ripped off.
Add 10c (if 10% is too much) to the vendor buy price for the TP minimum sales price, at least make it worth my time to wait and then run fetch my money.
This point out to another problem,
there is not enough item worth selling/buying and or item needed are too common.
Anyway i like the idea of making price warning at least include the loss you make from listing item + 15% tax fee
As you said, there are very few items worth selling, and way too many soulbound items.
Too many soulbound items can kill an economy faster than none at all. And that’s part of the problem here.
Anything that sells for less than 30c is more valuable salvaged than sold. The only real use for the CH/TP right now is ultra rare drops, the occasional piece of gear that only has 1-5 listed, or crafting mats.
